Alpine villages and fairy tale castles!

There is nothing like spending Christmas and New Year holidays with your family discovering new places. In my case, meeting new family as well. My husband and I took a road trip through central Europe this winter. After one the most exhausting plane rides, with a missed connection from Vegas to London, I took advantage of the 12 hour delay by roaming around the strip where I stumbled upon the Dior Nude Air Luminizer, which I simply had to add to my collection.

Upon arriving at our final destination, Italy, my husband and I spent some time with my sister in-law and her Italian husband Luigi, along with his typically numerous Italian family, meeting our baby niece for the very first time. There is nothing like a Christmas dinner around a huge table surrounded by happy and welcoming Italians.

Moving north to Switzerland, we explored a bit of Zurich and continued to Germany, where along the way I met for the first time many relatives from my husband's side. There was a beautiful place we visited in Germany called Neuschwanstein Castle. Fairy tales scenarios came back to life; in fact, this castle inspired Walt Disney in his creation of that magical place called Disneyland.

The next stop was beautiful Munich where we met more family and friends. We also managed to visit Amsterdam for a couple of days, and unexpectedly ended up the trip in a tiny town in Austria, where snow practically blanketed the whole place. My trusted confidant for those three weeks of traveling through in the cold, dry European winter was the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Creme in shade Hot Cocoa. This shade was a perfect nude for the winter season and despite the temperatures, it managed to keep my lips hydrated with long lasting, full coverage color. The product is formulated with Brazilian cupuacu butter and collagen and comes in a very creamy texture.

Till we meet again, Europe you lovely dame.
