Summer Highlights and Heat-Proof Foundation

Summer time means hot sunny days, tanned skin, sun kissed hair, and quality beach time here in Southern California. But let’s keep the same variables and switch it towards a more tropical scenario such as Cancun, Mexico.

The special day finally came; the wedding we have been planning for over 2 years. As a professional makeup artist, it was my dedicated task to search for the perfect makeup products that will beat the heat and humidity of this tropical paradise. My answer was clear; Le Teint Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Flawless Foundation from CHANEL had to be my foundation for my wedding day. I decided to pamper myself with this treat and let me tell you, it was so worth it! With a lightweight formula, this foundation has a medium to full coverage and a matte finish. It dries fast therefore you best make sure to be efficient at blending in order to avoid patches and achieve a nice application, because once this dries, it won't move! I would recommend to use a Beauty Blender or any sponge of your preference, or an airbrush type of brush such as the Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 Sephora Brush.

This foundation leaves the skin looking flawless and shine-free. I applied it at 3 PM and removed it around 3 AM when the wedding celebration came to an end. It didn't move at all despite the hugs and kisses given and received from friends and family; it didn't melt regardless of the humid 90F degree heat that day and our non-stop dancing. Even a strong breeze and light drizzle of rain throughout the dinner in the terrace didn't ruining the foundation. It basically stayed put through the whole wedding, without any need for touch ups!
